While there's been significant advancement for girls in STEM, much of the focus is at at the high school and college level. But what about younger girls? Girls can’t be excited about something if they aren’t exposed to it but studies show that 4 in10 girls say they don’t get enough practical experience in STEM. By the age of 15, many girls have self-selected out of advanced math and science courses. This session will focus on why STEM programing for girls needs to start early and will provide instructional staff with ideas for hands-on, classroom STEM activities to engage even the youngest future scientists and engineers.
