The new National Educational Technology Plan (NETP) was announced at the end of January 2024. The plan outlines 3 divides that exist in education today. These are Digital Access, Digital Design and Digital Use. This plan reframes the discussion around the impacts of educational technology, offers practical recommendations with examples from every state and US territory and prioritizes actionable steps to close the divides that continue to exist in education today. This session will unpack how this new plan is different from previous plans and what it means for educators in Washington state.
