In partnership with Intel and others, East Metro STEAM Partnership (EMSP) initiated the East Metro Esport Program in 2022. A program designed to increase access to computer science (CS), increase interest in computer science among students, increase engagement between professionals of color and students, and connect higher education CS programs to middle and high school students. This session will share this work, the outcomes achieved, lessons learned, and barriers faced.
